It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany

In a recent article titled The Gathering Storm, written by Tom Mountain, he pens the words of current day Benjamin Netanyahu, “It’s 1938 and Iran is Germany.” This historical analogy implicates how imminent Iran’s nuclear threat is to the region, and to the world.

Following history back to 1938, that was the year to stop Hitler and Nazi Germany before it was too late. Unfortunately the threat was not taken seriously enough, and by the time 1939 rolled around it was too late.

After 1938 it was too late. By the spring of 1940 Hitler had defeated France and prepared to destroy Britain.

Today we are facing the same struggle but instead of it being Germany, It is the Iranian regime.

If today is eerily reminiscent of 1938, and Iran is the successor to Nazi Germany, then Barack Obama is Neville Chamberlain and the West Bank is the Sudetenland.

Barack Obama may not be completely anti-Israel, meaning he is looking for the destruction of it, but he is not “inclined to adamantly” support the Jewish state against the enemy. I see Obama as someone who is so caught up in appearances, he seems to forget what the role of the President of the United States is. He resembles more of a TV star than a leader who will protect the country from enemies foreign and domestic. Just like Bill Clinton, Obama is so caught up in bringing peace at any cost, even if it meant selling out Israel and even the United States. Right now Obama is believing in the lies put forth by Iran, in that their nuclear ambitions are peaceful. In fact, it is no secret the plans Iran has for wanting to destroy and eliminate the Jewish state.

There seems to be only one person who takes the threat seriously. There are some who may believe Iran is all talk and not much action. But we have to remember that Israel is betting on their very own survival. There is a lot more at stake if you are wrong. It means the complete and utter destruction of Israel. Netanyahu is fully aware of the threat by Iran and he will rise up alone, without the United States, if it is needed.

The White Horse of the Apocalypse

Now I will continue on with my own interpretation concerning the current times we live in. Please take note that I could be wrong in my interpretation and there is a possibility none of the seals mentioned in Revelation have yet to be opened. The Bible is to be read and interpreted through prayer and be aware of false teachings by others. My interpretation is to incite thought and get people thinking of the current possibilities. Please ask God for guidance before taking everything I have written as truth.

First and foremost, we must compare Scripture with Scripture and allow verses to support each other. In Matthew 24:4-5 and Luke 21:8, you will see we have been warned to “take heed” (be warned) that you are not deceived. Many will come in Jesus’s name and deceive. I believe the White Horse represents truth. This is the Word of God. We are told in the last days God’s Word will reach to all corners of the Earth so ALL men will have heard the gospel. We are to take heed, and learn the truth.

To compare, in Revelation 19, we are told the rider on the horse is the Word of God and He is wearing many crowns. Notice also the color white represents purity and truth throughout the Bible, and that the White horseman was also given a crown. There are people who believe the first horseman represents evil or “the antichrist”. Personally I believe this to be false and lacking, and the White Horse represents truth and righteousness.

Today we have seen the gospel go far and wide. It has reached all nations, and the work of many missionaries putting themselves in harms way to bring truth to people who would never know the story of Jesus otherwise.

Again, a lot of people believe the White Horseman represents “the antichrist” who will go out and conquer and take on the image of God. Throughout all the other books of the Bible all references to a white horse have to do with “wisdom of righteousness”. Here is an interesting thought. Could the white horseman be sent to us from Heaven as the spirit of Elijah?

According to Malachi 4:5-6, describing the end of days, he says”

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1:17 it says:

And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias (Elijah), to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

John the Baptist in Matthew 11:14

And if ye will receive it, this is Elias (Elijah), which was for to come.

In Matthew 17:12 it says:

But I say unto you, That Elias (Elijah) is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

It is quite possible the White Horse is the Spirit of Elijah calling people to the “wisdom of righteousness” according to the “Lord’s Command” similar to nearly 2,000 years ago. Regardless, the white horseman is more than likely “The Word”.

The Book of Revelation in the Bible contains many mysteries, including the prophecy by John of the seven seals which will be opened in the last days here on Earth. Some think the Book of Revelation is all allegory with very literal meaning. What the seven seals reveals is prophecy of a series of events that will lead up to the creation of God’s Kingdom.

The Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation while exiled on the island of Patmos off the Southwest coast of Turkey in the Aegean Sea. The Island was used as a Roman penal colony in the first century. God had chosen the Apostle John to record what people today call the Apocalypse. This is all contained in the Book of Revelation.

Now, let me clarify a few things before we get started. The reason I am writing this is so we can look at what’s happening today and see if maybe there are some comparisons. Most people have heard of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. These 4 Horsemen are simply the releasing of the first four seals which lead up to the Great Tribulation. The Great Tribulation will be a time when “The Antichrist” will reign over the world. It will be a time of great struggle, the most ever since the beginning of mankind.

So what are the 4 Horsemen and what exactly is released? I will write out a list below and then continue to explain them further on.

1) A White Horse – Revelation 6:2, I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

2) A Red Horse – Revelation 6:3-4, And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

3) A Black Horse – Revelation 6:5-6, And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

4) A Pale Horse – Revelation 6:7-8, And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

5) Seal #5: Souls Under the Altar: Revelation 6:9-11. And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

6) Seal #6: Celestial Signs: Revelation 6:12-17. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

7) Seal #7: The Sealing of God’s Chosen: Revelation 7.

Russia Moves Troops Closer to Georgia’s Capital

For those who thought Russia had cleared out of Georgia a long while ago have been mislead. The truth is, the U.S. decided to leave a backbone back in Washington and focus on the economy. Russia has been on the move. Russia wants South Ossetia back on the map as thiers, and so does South Ossetia.

“It will be Russia,” said a Russian army lieutenant as the Ossetian soldiers under his command nodded.

But it isn’t just South Ossetia the Russians want. It’s all of Georgia…

“And Georgia used to be Russian, too,” said the young freckle-faced lieutenant, who would give only his first name, Sergei. Three armored personnel carriers and a tank were dug in around the checkpoint.

Remember that EU brokered cease-fire deal? Well Russia is now in direct violation of it by stationing forces just 25 miles from the Georgian capital. In recent weeks their have been protests against the Georgian president, which drew 10,000 people, and they vow to continue their opposition daily until the president resigns.

Of course this goes back before the Cold War, and I am sure pride has a lot to do with it. But let’s take a more realistic view of the situation. The oil and gas pipelines that cross into Georgian territory are among the few that bypass Russia in supplying Europe with energy coming directly from the Caspian Sea. With the EU pushing their empire East and Russia’s pushing West, gaining control over the pipelines feeding Europe is all about controlling Georgia. You take the Capital and you get the pipeline. Once Russia takes control, there is much more leverage besides military might to retake the old Soviet empire states that broke off from it.

This battle for Georgia, I believe, is a big step in what could soon lead to the Gog/Magog war, prophecied in the Bible.

Fat People Cause Global Warming??

With each passing day it just gets weirder and weirder. Grossly obese individuals contribute more to global warming than healthy normal weight people. Scientists are warning the public that the increase in big eaters means that much more food production to fill their ever expanding bellies. And with more food production there is a major increase in CO2 gas emissions, ultimately warming the planet. But it doesn’t stop there. Overweight people are also more likely to drive adding to the damage.

The scientists say providing extra grub for them to guzzle adds to carbon emissions that heat up the world, melting polar ice caps, raising sea levels and killing rain forests.

The environmental impact of fat humans is made even worse because they are more likely to travel by car — another major cause of carbon emissions.

Now I can easily see fat people eating more food. But to say fat people drive more is ludicrous. Where do these stats fall out of the sky from? First off, many healthy people drive to and from the gym don’t they? Fat people are lazier and tend to do more sitting on their fat butts right?? All this, while healthy people are more active and pack up the SUV to go on a camping trip, or some outing. I would think the exact opposite, that fat people watched too much TV while the healthy folks were planning trips and outings. And they have to get there some how. Healthy people don’t just conveniently live right next to a mountain or biking trails. A lot of them need to pack up that car and drive to where they want to be.

But even if it were true that fat people drove more…. then what??

Isn’t there a tax on gas? Isn’t there a tax on food? The more you eat and the more you drive, the more in tax you pay. Therefore the fatties will be paying more since naturally they purchase more of these items, right? Well it goes beyond that. It is now our goal to get fat people to eat less and to drive less or polar bears will lose their homes, and there will be more destruction across the globe in the form of natural disasters, overwhelming organizations who provide aide.

The impact of more storms, floods and droughts could overwhelm aid organizations.

But remember not to antagonize fat folks because it may cause adverse results due to a guilty conscience…

“A few obese people have a hormone problem, although most simply don’t use enough calories and eat too many. But making them feel guilty antagonises them and may not help.”

I know this sounds like a joke but it’s not. Scientists use tax payer dollars to fund their programs to come up with this sort of content. Of course they are going to find more ways to tax the Americans, through all means possible, fat or not fat, to keep their income flowing. People will believe in this but you mention there is a God and you are insane. See how that works??

Israel Ready to Bomb Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

We all knew it was just a matter of ‘when’, and not ‘if’. Just this week the Israeli military announced it is now prepared to launch a massive aerial assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities. This comes as Israel’s new Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, forms his government. Just last week Israel’s President, Peres, hinted at a possible strike as well. Although we have always heard rhetoric from Israel, the time seems ripe due to many new develops. Of course, the United States has a new president who seems to be more supportive toward Muslims, and is now willing to sit down and negotiate without preconditions with Iran. But most of all Obama seems to be working against Netanyahu.

What’s more important is Iran’s capabilities now. Iran is boasting 7,000 enrichment centrifuges. If you aren’t familiar with the process of enriching uranium then I can assure you they are in the final stages…

Referring to the inauguration of a nuclear fuel production plant by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad earlier on Thursday, he said in a televised speech: “Today we praise … the accomplishment of the last stage of the nuclear fuel cycle.”

Ahmadinejad admits they are in the last stages.

For those who are looking at this situation prophetically, we have to ask ourselves a couple of questions. First, would Israel’s attack on Iran prolong the coming of the last days or would it escalate them? Why? Could this agitate Russia and possibly China to begin aligning to retaliate against Israel leading to the Gog/Magog war prophesied in Ezekiel?

White House Asks Georgetown University to Remove Jesus Symbol Prior to Obama Speech

America, a country founded on the principles of Christianity, a free nation under God, a society corner-stoned on Liberty, one that is Just, for ALL citizens; a country for the people by the people, and not controlled by the elitists in Washington… has finally made a bold step. This doesn’t come from a small minority group preaching hatred, but from the leader of the free world, a leader who represents the poeple of America. Obama, prior to his speech at Georgetown University, asked for a monogram symbolizing Jesus to be covered.

The gold “IHS” monogram inscribed on a pediment in the hall was covered over by a piece of black-painted plywood, and remained covered over the next day, CNSNews.com reported.

From a Biblical perspective this is saddening news. God has always judged the nations. Those nations that turned away and removed God from their society were always met with harsh judgment. Some were given second, third, fourth, chances. Those nations that feared God and worshiped His name were blessed and would prosper. Are we to be judged lightly?

Tax Day Turns Into Tea Party Day for Freedom Fighters

April 15th, commonly known for Tax day, is being transformed this year into what most right-wing conservatives like to now call Tea Party Day. Today across the nation, in more than 300 different cities, including all 50 states, there will be rallies to protest the current out of control government spending and higher taxes. The amazing thing about these tea-party rallies is there is no political party funding them. On the left, we have had MoveOn.org fund several left-wing rallies in the past, but today it is just about the American people stepping up and wanting to be heard.

Thanks to the Internet, it has made organizing such a mass event a lot easier and lot quicker. This idea was mainly started by bloggers who felt the need to reach out. Protests actually began with bloggers in Seattle, Washington who rallied back in February. Word spread and it has caught on like wildfire. So what does the left-wingers and those who support the Obama Administration think of all this?

I can’t imagine they are too keen on the idea of angry protesters stomping through American cities with a gun in one hand and a Bible in the other. They would feel more comfortable if we just put the guns and Bibles down and started murdering innocent children in the womb. Or better yet pass around a bong and have gay sex. OK I digress.

Well, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a 9 page report (pdf) warning officials of right-wing radicals. This all comes just hours prior to Tea Party Day.

(U) Key Findings

(U//LES) The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific
information that domestic rightwing* terrorists are currently planning acts of violence,
but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about
several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first
African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and
recruitment.

— (U//LES) Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups
during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry
out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic
downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability
to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing
extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and
government authorities similar to those in the past.

— (U//LES) Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first
African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new
members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal
through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.

For those who read Bible prophecy understand that there are many people out there that believe America will not play a major role in the last days. Some scholars believe America will exist, but will play a small role in end time events. Of course there are many theories. Some believe America will simply lose their role as the #1 super power of the world. Many believe there could be civil unrest and war in America. People like Joel Rosenberg, who mentions in his book Dead Heat, a massive nuclear attack on American cities, believe this to be a possible reality. Some believe not just one event could happen but many of the events. Take a worse case scenario where civil unrest breaks out due to an economic downturn and high unemployment, leading to more bailouts and more tea parties. Unrest leads to civil war, and while America is fighting amongst itself to find its identity we are attacked from the outside by an evil force.

Again, much speculation here, but could this be the beginning of something bigger to come? Many evangelicals today believe we are living in the last days. Seeing through the third lens of Scripture doesn’t this help you more easily project which road the economic and political stage is headed?

Be Careful What You Wish For

Apart from the obvious financial distress that the current economic crisis has inflicted on most Americans, perhaps one of the more irksome byproducts of the meltdown has been the inescapability of clueless economic blather. It’s bad enough when so-called economists serve up the same Keynesian nonsense that has led us down the current cul-de-sac in the first place. At least those people have some incidental knowledge, however deeply flawed, of basic economic concepts. It’s far worse when political pundits, whose understanding of economics typically comes from Treasury Department talking points, hold forth as if they really know what is going on.

Last weekend I happened to watch the McLaughlin Group, a mainstay of Sunday morning political programs, which included a discussion that typified the lack of economic common sense that is so pervasive in our country. The program’s anchor John McLaughlin, undoubtedly an expert in political maneuvering and Washington horse-trading, offered viewers his assessment of the global economic landscape. McLaughlin identified China, Germany, and Japan as being prime offenders in the global economic meltdown. Their “offense” was that they ran persistent trade surpluses, had savings rates that were “far too high” and consumption rates that were “far too low”. McLaughlin identified these sins as responsible for the global economic imbalances. He urged the governments of those countries to adopt policies that would encourage their consumers to borrow and spend more. Exactly which school of economic thought informed his assessment is not entirely clear.

In the first place, if the creditor nations of the world actually follow Mr. McLaughlin’s advice and become borrowers themselves, from just where does Mr. McLaughlin believe the money will come? These countries already lend to America. Does he think that they also have enough leftover to lend to themselves? Does he believe that America, which is tens of trillions of dollars in debt, has enough excess savings to lend? Perhaps he’s eyeing the Martians’ accumulated savings? The point is: the entire world cannot borrow at the same time. Someone has to do the lending. The only reason Americans are able to borrow so much is that those “offending nations” are loaning us the money.

Mr. McLaughlin apparently believes that if those countries simply adopted policies to encourage more consumption, America would then be able to export more products. Just what American-made products does he expect the Chinese to buy? If China did spend more, which they ultimately will, they would simply buy more of their own products that they currently ship to us. After all, if Americans are not buying American-made products, why would the Chinese? In most cases, it’s not that consumers do not want to buy American products it’s just that there are so few American-made products that are competitive in the global marketplace.

One guest on the panel did try to correct Mr. McLaughlin by suggesting that Americans needed to save more and spend less, but he was quickly shot down. Why should we spend less, McLaughlin snapped, when they could shoulder some of the burden by spending more? The inference here is that we are doing our part by lugging home shopping carts full of consumer goods, while they are getting off easy by spending their days in muggy factories making the goods!

What he fails to understand is that nothing can be bought that is not first produced. We cannot all just decide to spend our troubles away. It is only because the “offending nations” are producing surplus goods (meaning more goods than they are themselves consuming) that those goods are available to Americans. In McLaughlin’s America, and indeed Obama’s, we would all be standing around empty shelves with wheelbarrows full of worthless cash.

If the creditor countries are indeed the offenders, it is only in the sense that they have enabled us to live beyond our means and have facilitated the growth of our phony economy. However if they do as Mr. McLaughlin suggests, the immediate impact on the American economy will be much different than what he expects: the dollar will collapse, both consumer prices and interest rates will rise sharply, and the current recession will deepen. Rather than holding us back, foreign creditors have actually been propping us up. As for Mr. McLaughlin, he should stick to his strong suit: the dissection of political posturing. To presume a level of economic understanding by listening to self-interested politicians and academics is to invite catastrophe.

Obama’s New World Order

In an article written last week by Time, many of Barack Obama’s intentions were made clear. We have seen many times throughout the last year what Obama is capable of through is outright approach and far left wing support, right down to his voting record. Since election day we have seen a major spike in activity resulting in more government control over the people and significant moves in global agenda.

For those who think it were the Republicans who have pushed for globalization you are half right. I don’t agree with everything the Republicans have done in global politics, but infiltrating Afghanistan and Iraq were moves done in retribution to an enemy that flew planes into two of our tallest buildings in New York, flew a plane into the Pentagon, and crashed another in Pennsylvania. If you have forgotten the impact that had on our country please take time to reflect now. Think about it. Sit for a few minutes in silence and take yourself back to that moment in time when Democrats were screaming at Bush for not acting quick enough.

Those who think we bullied our way through war into the Middle East has their heads buried in the sand. Secondly, the current Administration is pushing for a one world government not through war and bullying, but through legislation and changing of laws. If you disagree please consider the following:

- Obama has made it abundantly clear that America is “but one actor in a global community”.

- With all of our economic problems, instead of relying on true Capitalism he has ordered more oversight and control from government, enough so, that he thinks it is fine to fire CEO’s of companies.

- Obama has made it clear to dramatically reduce the size of our military forces.

- Instead of leading global discussion as our leadership role in the wolrd, he would much rather listen to other ideas first and at the same place a heavy emphasis on more growth in developing countries. (Spreading the wealth?)

- Obama even stood before an audience in Strasbourg, France and admitted that “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world.” This was said just before offering the audience critical views of our country.

Obama is looking to build a collective vision. If you are also not supportive of the Republicans, it is safe to say that under George W. Bush, they were set out to impose an American vision, one of freedom, and one where even if a people never understood what freedom really meant, they could choose. It is one thing to impose our ideals onto another group of people because we feel we are leaders on this Earth who realize that God’s purpose is free will. It is the ability to choose for ourselves the lifestyles we wish to have without persecution. Obama is looking not to impose freedom but to build a collective vision based on a new world order, founded on Socialistic values. Once laws are set in place, it restricts the freedoms we have, and undermines the principles of which America was founded on.

In Obama’s New World Order, where is America? Is it sitting back and allowing other countries to control what we do for the price of being liked and coming across to other nations as cooperative? Are we leading the charge? What does prophecy tell you?
